This exercise is a first step in learning how to prepare HTML documents. You will take an existing page, modify it a little bit and then put it on the web. By doing this you will learn to use the basic tools needed to create more complex HTML documents.
For simplicity, I suggest you use WordPad, the basic word processor that comes with Windows. It is usually found from the Start button, go to Programs, then Accessories, then WordPad. Alternatively, from the Start button go to Find, then Files or Folders and in the dialogue box type Wordpad.exe and click Find Now. Once it has found the correct file you can double click on the program to open it.
